Yvonne W. Simon, 96, of Door County and Green Bay, passed away Thursday, July 11 after a lengthy illness. Yvonne was born June 6, 1928 to Edmund and Lillian Krueger in Carlsville, where she grew up on the family farm. On December 28, 1947 she married Philipp R. Simon of Institute. She is survived by their four children, Philipp W. (Sandra Larson), James, Charles (Victoria), and Michelle, her sister Jeanette (Eugene) Gendron, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers Leland (Eunice) and Carl (Betty), her sister Frieda (John) Polich, and her granddaughter Nikki. Yvonne enjoyed many years working as an interior decorator and had a number of artistic hobbies throughout her life. She was an excellent cook and she especially loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens.


Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay on July 20th from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
