William “Carl” Malone, 82, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away on January 22, 2025. Born on October 13, 1942, in Pine Valley, Mississippi; to Charley and Arizona Malone. Carl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Bonnie Malone; daughters: Roxie Malone, Rhonda Laufenberg, and Kim Davey; daughter-in-law, Melissa Malone; 12 grandchildren: Charity Johnson, Charlene (Brian) Crawford, Sonia Malone (Jay), Adrian Smith (Kiya), Ashley (Corey) Hamel, Sheva Ashouri, Steven (Jamie) Malone, Amanda Worley, Dylan Laufenberg, Nicole Laufenberg, Stephanie Wrobel (Jake), and Alyssa Wrobel; 17 cherished great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-granddaughters; sisters: Martha “Tootsie” Smith, Ethelene Lamb, Shirley (Thomas) Simmons, Patricia Whitaker; brother, Charles Malone; and sister-in-law Dorothy Malone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his children: Susan Long, Bill Malone, and Sandra Short; sisters: Ettie Lee Simmons, Betty Reed, and Evelyn Newnham; brother, John Malone; grandchildren: Daniel Long and Samantha Short, and great-grandson, Elijah Long.
Carl worked at Fabco Equipment for over 25 years in various positions, retiring as a technical advisor in Green Bay. Prior to that, he worked with other Caterpillar dealers in Arkansas, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. Carl enjoyed taking road trips, visiting family, and seeing sights along the way. He especially cherished many trips with his frequent travel companions: Ralph and Sue Warner, Billy and Connie Newman, and John and Dorothy Malone. He found great joy in attending Bible studies and worshiping at Harvest Community Church.
Carl will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and the love he gave to his family. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Friends and family may visit with his family on Saturday, January 25, 2025; from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Harvest Community Church, E1479 Rockledge Rd, Luxemburg, WI 54217. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm. Private interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lyons, WI.
