William C. Gottfried

William "Bill" C. Gottfried, age 80, passed away on July 29, 2022. He was born on September 30, 1941 the son of the late Frank and Ethel (Hoerres) Gottfried.
Bill always enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and boating. He taught his children how to waterski. In Bill's spare time he loved woodworking and building models and helping his children reno their homes.
Bill is survived by two children: Mike (Kathleen Daly) Gottfried and Julie (Gregg) Marweg their mother, Carol Gottfried; three grandchildren: Allen (Johanna) Gottfried, Brianna (Josh) Blau, and Chelsea (Joel) Mortenson; four great-grandchildren: Telana, Ephraim, Corrin, and Holland; two brothers, Fritz and George (Sue) Gottfried, sisters-in-law, Linda and Bea Gottfried, and ex-wife, Laurie Andrews; further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Friends and family may gather at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions, 340 S Monroe Ave on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 pm.
