William E. Foster

September 26, 1940 — April 27, 2023

On April 27, 2023, William E. (Bill) Foster joined his son in heaven, his wife and daughter were by his side. He was born in Green Bay on September 26,1940 to the late Byron and Evelyn (Kadlec)Foster. He married Susan (Delvoye-Jandrain) on October 1, 1993. Bill graduated from West High School in 1958. Bill served in the United States Army in Korea until 1962, upon returning he worked at Toledo Scales and drove stock cars. In the early 1970's he worked as a truck driver for Schneider Transport. He became very involved with the union which led to him becoming a Business Agent for the Teamsters Local 75 in 1983, where he proudly served his union.

brothers and sisters until retiring at 58. Bill worked part time at the Fox Valley Auto Action until 2018. In retirement Bill pursued his passion for travel and explored the country with Sue in their motorhome. He was very proud to say he made it to 49 of 50 states. Bill loved NASCAR. Bill and Sue frequently attended races in Daytona, Bristol and Talladega. Bill loved getting behind the wheel of the motorhome and traveling out west to the national parks - Yellowstone, Pikes Peak, and going to see the Redwoods in California. A few winters were spent in Florida with friends in the RV. He kept the motorhome in Shawano at Fawn Lake Campground, when he wasn't traveling around the country and enjoyed spending time there for almost 30 years. Bill loved walking into places and having people know him by name and loved talking about the good ole days. He was like Norm on Cheers.

Bill is survived by his wife Susan, daughter Kim Foster, Green Bay. Stepchildren whom he loved as his own, Josh (Alissa) Jandrain, Plover, WI, Danielle (Jason) Schraufnagel, Little Suamico. Four grandchildren, Addison and Conner Jandrain, Ava Mae and Nora Lee Schraufnagel. Brothers, Otis (June) Foster, Florida, Robert (Jackie) Foster, Green Bay. Sisters, Joan Sprangers, Washington. Wendy (Steve) Petruzzello, Illinois. Brother and sister in laws, David (Jen) Delvoye, Minnesota, Judith (Amy Cornell) Delvoye, Illinois, Maria (Scott Lanning) Delvoye, Utah and Stephan (Dhienna) Delvoye, Green Bay. Many nieces, nephews and many friends. Preceded in death by his son William Foster Jr., his parents, brothers Donald and James, brother-in-law Jim Sprangers. Father and mother In-law Jack and Jackie Delvoye, Sue's son Justin, nephew Craig Foster, and niece Lori Foster.

Please come and help us celebrate Bill's life, on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave. from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm with a short memorial service to follow at 6:00 pm.

We would like to thank the staff at St. Clare Hospital staff in Oconto Falls for helping him on his journey, he loved to joke around with all of you.

Until we see you again, we will miss your sense of humor, twinkle in your eyes and your goofy grin.
