William Danz

William "Bill" Danz, 69, of Abrams, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 24, 2021.

Bill was born on August 20, 1951 in Green Bay, son of the late Norman and Dorothy (Boucher) Danz. He was a graduate of the Class of 1969 at Green Bay East High School. Bill enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served for eight years during the Vietnam War. He married Cheryl Brusky in 1975 and they raised five children together. Bill retired from Wisconsin Public Service after more than 33 years. He loved to spend summers up at White Potato Lake. Bill enjoyed fishing, reading western books, and grilling in his spare time.

He is survived by five children: Lorelei (Mike) Friedl, Valerie Danz, Martha Danz, Christopher Danz, and Clare Danz. Bill also leaves his siblings: Mary (Bruce) Zahn, Lee Ann (Ron) Sternard, and David (Tammy) Danz. Five beloved grandchildren: Germaine, Gwendolyn, Emma, Veronica, and Victor, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bill is preceded in death by a sister, Carol (Allyn) Page, brother James Danz.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 1st from 10 AM - 12 PM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A funeral service with full military honors will follow at 12 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
