William "Bill" Anthony Griesemer, age 90, of Green Bay, passed away on March 21, 2025 surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 24, 1934 to William and Rose (Graf) Griesemer in West Allis, Wisconsin. After high school, Bill proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Upon returning home, he joined the Waukesha Police Department, where he worked for many years. Before moving his family up to Green Bay, for the opportunity to own and operate his own restaurant, George Webb. After the closing of the restaurant, he tried his hand as an entrepreneur in various other venues before retiring from the United States Postal Service in Arizona.
Bill was a quiet and reserved man, who cared deeply for his family. He gave the best hugs, and made sure that everyone knew just how much he loved them. He went above and beyond for his family, always putting them before himself. When not spending time with his family, Bill enjoyed prospecting, metal detecting, his Lincoln Town Cars, and his beloved Boxers.
Bill is survived by his loving children; Wayne Griesemer, Kelly (Al) Armstrong, Karen (Craig) Falck, Becky (Kevin) Westegaard, his grandchildren; William, Brandi, Brooke, Dustin, Lauren, Jaimie (Greg), Shaina, Rebecca (Ken), Jason (Morgan), Kyler (Macey), and his great-grandchildren; Josiah, Lukas, Arlo, Elizabeth, Juliette, Brody, Caspian, Emberley, Robbie and Jaret. He is further survived by his siblings; Karen (Joe) Benkowski, and Bob (Donna) Griesemer, his sister-in-law; Pat Griesemer, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; Rose (Ed) Igl, Louise (Matt) Prazak, Dennis Griesemer, Bernard Griesemer, Wayne Griesemer, Gary Griesemer, and his grandson; Corey McNeill.
Bill's Family would like to extend a special thank you to his nephew, Michael Prazak, for his selfless devotion to Dad in his final days.
