Willard Dale Adams, 69, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 20, 2013. He was born November 30, 1943, in Trigg County, KY, to the late Jagoe and Lois (Barnes) Adams. Dale proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served for two tours in Vietnam and one in Germany. On July 16, 1972, Dale married the love of his life, Linda Katers. He was a hard worker, retiring from Green Bay Packaging Coated Products Division after more than 30 years of service.
Dale was a humble man that enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, and going to the casino. He was a fan and stock holder of The Green Bay Packers and liked following Kentucky and Badger basketball. Dale's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Linda; daughters, Jessica (Brian) Fritz, Platteville, WI, and Sheryl Goforth, Cadiz, KY; grandchildren: Madelyn, Colin, and Connor Fritz, Angel Brown, Alisha Runyon, Jontaea Anderson, and Kendra Nelson; great-grandchildren, Zoe and Ashlen; brother and sisters: Dexter Adams, Cadiz, KY; Margie Thomas, Hopkinsville, KY; Nancy (Charles) Ferguson, Eddyville, KY; Venice Overby, Princeton, KY; Margaret (James) P'Pool, Princeton, KY; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Butch (Judy) Katers, Debbie (Dave) Friedl, and Tom (Bonnie) Katers, all of Green Bay, and Myra Dean Bush, Cadiz, KY; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Willard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Guy, Adrian, and Lacey Adams (Joann); brothers-in-law, R.C. Thomas and Carl Edward Overby; and parents-in-law, Merlin and Irene Katers.
Family and friends may call Saturday, November 23, 2013, at St. Jude Parish, 1420 Division St, Green Bay, from 10:30am until 1:15pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at the church on Saturday at 1:30pm with Rev. Don Everts officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Howard Memorial Park with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
