Wilfred J. Erieau, 94, Green Bay, passed away Tuesday morning, October 17, 2023. Wilfred (Wil, Iggie) was born to the late Wilfred and Blanche Erieau on April 18, 1929 in Oconto, WI. Wil married the love of his life, Betty Schacht on February 3, 1951. She preceded him in death on January 27, 2020. Together Betty and Wil raised four children. Throughout their marriage Wil and Betty enjoyed traveling around the country, never missed their annual trip to Las Vegas. Wilfred served in the United States Marine Corps and worked at Procter and Gamble for 35 years, retiring in 1990.
He loved hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He also loved the Packers, attending many training camps where he took lots of pictures. He also was a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and loved playing the lottery. Spending time and hearing the accomplishments and adventures of his family was one thing that Wil greatly enjoyed.
Wil is survived by his children: Steve (Gail) Erieau, Mark Erieau and Terry (Alice) Erieau; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Wilfred is also survived by his sister, Delcian Scanlan and sisters-in-law, Joan Erieau and Lolly Erieau. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty, daughter, Renee, daughter-in-law, Susan Erieau, granddaughter, Lisa Byrd, brothers, brothers-in-law, a sister and sisters-in-law.
