Wendy A. Williquette

October 6, 1964 — July 6, 2023

Wendy Williquette, age 58, of Suamico, Wis. died Thursday after battling melanoma. She was born in Green Bay, Wis., to Marlene and James Williquette. She grew up in the small town of Suamico, thriving as the youngest of five brothers and sisters and surrounded by extended family. In her youth, Wendy enjoyed sports and was a cheerleader at BayPort High School where she also excelled in softball.

Wendy attended the University of Wisconsin. She forged her own early career path and was proud to work her way through college and complete her bachelor's degree at UW-Waukesha. In the midst of a corporate career, Wendy discovered she wanted to be an entrepreneur. She achieved her vision to become her own boss by the age of 35. Wendy shared her passion for financial independence through her work in the financial services industry where she excelled at helping people plan and reach their investment goals. She reveled in her clients' achievements of early retirement, dream vacations, and self-agency.

Learning, self-improvement, and goal setting were big in Wendy's life. While working in her financial planning business, she achieved her career goal of Marketing Director in 2007 and received numerous professional achievements and awards including a National Expansion Award in 2012.

Wendy had a wonderful passion for music and attended countless live music events all throughout the country. She loved living in Milwaukee in her early adulthood where she soaked in the music scene at concerts and festivals like Summerfest and State Fair. She even dabbled in the music industry as a band manager, marrying her business talents and her love of music.

Wendy moved back to Green Bay to expand her business and be closer to her family. 'Fun Aunt Wendy' considered her six nieces and nephews as her own kids, bonding relationships from youngsters on into their adult lives.

She loved the bright lights and glitz of big cities and enjoyed convention trips to Las Vegas and other destinations. Any time there was a special social or business event, you could count on Wendy to go all glamorous to look her striking best to meet the occasion.

Wendy was preceded in death by her father James Williquette and her stepfather Edward Nerat.

Wendy is survived by her mother Marlene Nerat, her siblings and in-laws, Jim and Teresa Williquette, Mike and Nancy Williquette, Mary and Clarence Mansfield, and Susan Zuelke, and by her nieces and nephews and their families, Nicole and Cem Zengin, Jake and Chelsey Williquette, Rachel Williquette and John Harrison, Kelton Hatton, Ella and Everett Schroeder, Matt and Sarah Williquette, and Vanessa Zuelke.

She will be fiercely missed by family, friends, and colleagues.
