Wayne Riha

Wayne A. Riha, 76, of Green Bay, beloved husband of Joanne (Schumacher) Riha, departed this life on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Santa Maria Nursing Home.

Wayne was born on July 15, 1940 in Two Rivers, WI, son of the late Sylvester and Clara (Roidt) Riha. He served honorably in the Quartermaster Corps as a cook in the U.S. Army National Guard. He retired after over 35 years of service with Response Graphics, and in his retirement worked as a Crossing Guard. In his spare time he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his kids. Wayne was active with the Moore Retirees Club. He sponsored three children in Honduras.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joanne and their sons: Gary (Tina) Riha, Carl (Dawn) Riha, Don (Tammy) Riha, and Steve Riha. Wayne also leaves two sisters: Karen (Larry) Kinjerski and Mary Ellen Olszewski in addition to 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Wayne is preceded in death by his daugther: Catherine Riha, and sons: Mark, Wayne Jr., and Robert Riha.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30th from 3 - 6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 6 PM.
