Wayne J. Babiash, age 73, of Green Bay, passed away at his home, Sunday, July 23, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Green Bay, October 4, 1949, son of the late Lawrence and Edna (Morrison) Babiash and was a graduate of Green Bay West High School, Class of 1968.

Wayne enlisted in the US Navy in 1969, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War, until his honorable discharge in 1973. After his military service, Wayne met Debi Patton in Long Beach, CA. They were married December 1, 1979 and shared 44 years together, blessed with 3 children. The couple moved back to Green Bay in 1980 to raise their family. Wayne retired from Russel Metals in 2016 after many years of dedicated service.

Wayne was a true family man and cherished time spent with both his immediate and extended family. He loved traveling to California to spend time on the beach and watch his grandson play football. He also enjoyed camping around California and Wisconsin and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Debi; his 3 children: Corrina (Greg) Babiash-Clark, Matthew (Therese) Babiash and Tyler Babiash; 2 grandsons, Derek and Marius Babiash and 4 siblings: Phyllis Ciranni, David (Mary) Babiash, Evelyn Babiash and Steven (Julie) Babiash. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings: Beverly, Laurence, William, John, Marlyn, Francis, Joann, Shairmaine and Fabian.

A celebration of Wayne's life will be held by his family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Wayne's name are appreciated.
