Walter Wenger

March 14, 1950 — August 14, 2024

Denmark

Walter Wenger, 74, a resident of Denmark, peacefully passed away on August , 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital.

He came into this world on March 14, 1950, as the cherished child of Jacob and Martha Wenger. On a day filled with love and commitment, he united in marriage with Sara Kohl, and together they built their home in Denmark. Walter dedicated his career to the art of machining, showcasing his skills across various companies until his well-deserved retirement in 2018. However, his true passion lay in woodworking. Crafting cabinets, molding, and picture frames were not mere tasks for Walter; they were expressions of his creativity and skill. His hands could transform simple pieces of wood into objects of beauty and function.

Left to honor his memory are his beloved son, Scott (Jena) Wenger, and four adoring grandchildren: Caitlin McDonald, Zachary Wenger, Jonathan Wenger, and Micah Wenger. Among those cherishing his memory are his siblings: Marty Wantz, Kathy Rahn, John Wenger, and Connie Richert, along with nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Walter was reunited in death with his parents, Jacob and Martha Wenger, and one sister, Ruth Fetting.

On this day, we also mourn the passing of Sara, who is fondly remembered by her family and friends. Unfortunately, Sara did not have the opportunity for a service when she departed. We kindly invite all who knew Sara and Walter to join us in paying their respects during this time of remembrance. Sara and Walter's presence will be deeply missed, but their memory will forever remain in the hearts of those knew and loved the.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, located at 340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay.
