Virginia G. "Ginna" Johnson, age 64, of Oneida, passed away peacefully at her home, Saturday, March 18, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born August 31, 1958 to Willard and Nellie (King) Johnson.
Ginna was a laborer/mason/"Super Flagger" during her career of 42 years, for which she was very proud. She had a strong faith and loved participating in her traditional Oneida beliefs.
First and foremost, Virginia was a caretaker. She cared for her entire family and any of her friends in need. Ginna also loved trips to the casino.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Melissa (David Burks) Johnson; 6 siblings: Alan King, Anthony Johnson, Vera Batiste, Patricia Skenandore, Elizabeth Johnson and Barbara Meyers; special friend, Todd Hayden; her pets, Foxy Brown and Lily; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Ginna was preceded in death by 2 siblings, Marylynn Christjohn and Shirley Johnson.
Visitation will be held at Virginia's home (W1051 Ranch Rd., Oneida, WI), Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 10 AM until Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 12 NOON. A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 AM on Thursday. To leave an online condolence for the family, please visit www.NewcomerGreenBay.com.
Ginna's family would like to thank the staff of St. Vincent Hospital 9th Floor and to Unity Hospice for their kindness, care and compassion.
