Victoria Jean Hillstrom, loving wife, sister, mother and friend received the loving hands of God who took away her pain on July 19, 2018 at the age of 73.
Victoria worked for Sears up until her retirement. She was their number 1 sales associate and loved her job. Victoria was married to a great man, Chuck, whom she cared for until the time of his death. Victoria was a simple woman, who loved to hear jokes and play them on others. She loved all animals including her grand "dog" Oliver who brought her much happiness. He visited often.
Victoria moved to Birch Creek Senior Living last August and she loved being there and making friends including Donna, Virginia, and Chuck. She loved playing bingo and going to see the live music. She was the happiest living there and she loved her caregivers who treated her like her own family. She also loved to keep the kitchen staff in line, especially Debbie and Michelle.
Victoria will be missed by many people including her daughter, Michelle Hansen (Marc Stromberg), grandchildren: Sam and Ben Diestler and Addison Stromberg. Her daughter Tonya Henke (Shawn Virlee), granddaughter Justyna and special friend William Henke.
The family would like to thank the Birch Creek staff (Krystal, Annette, Miranda, Andrea, Tasha, Jackie, and Mia) who cared so much for Victoria. The family would also like to thank Heartland Hospice (Katie, Heather and Brooks) who helped her pass in peace.
Victoria was a very humble person and appreciated all great things in life and in people.
Victoria is preceded in death by her parents, husband (Chuck), son (Michael), brother (Ben) who all wrapped their arms around her during her journey to paradise.
A celebration of life will be held August 4th from 2pm to 4pm at V3 Bar & Grille - 2056 Main Street, Green Bay, WI 54302. Flowers can be sent during this time.
Her favorite saying was "No one can take away your shine, not even the rain."
