Veronica "Ronnie" Klysen, age 100 years & 8 months old, passed away Wednesday, September 29th, 2021 at Reflections at Moraine Ridge after a 15 year battle with melanoma.
Ronnie was born January 13th, 1921 to Joseph & Mary Ganter. She married John T. Klysen on December 27th, 1941 and together they shared 54 years of marriage before John's passing in May of 1996.
Ronnie was known as a fashionista and shared her love for clothing while working at JCPenney and other ladies' clothing stores, as well as modeling clothes for Christian Women Group luncheons. She also enjoyed hobbies such as reading, baking, and traveling. She visited Hawaii twice, went to many religious sites, and spent winters in California with her daughter, Denise. Ronnie will be fondly remembered for her fiestiness.
Survivors include her children: Jack (Judi) Klysen of The Villages, FL., Gary Klysen, Darlene (Tom) Swille, Rick (fiancé Jonel) Klysen, and Denise (Edward) Klysen-Plonka; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and her husband John T. Klysen, she is preceded in death by her brother Norb Ganter and her daughter-in-law Sandra Lee Klysen.
Visitation for Ronnie will be held on Monday, October 4th, 2021 at St. Bernard's Parish (2040 Hillside Lane, Green Bay, WI 54302) from 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM with Fr. Mark VanderSteeg officiating. Entombment will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum.

Ronnie's family asks that friends and family attending the service to please wear masks and respect social distancing.
A celebration of Ronnie's life will be held at a later date.
