Todd Michael Klarkowski died unexpectedly on February 5, 2013 in Forestville, CA at the age of 43. Klarkowski was born March 30, 1969 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to parents Karen Chriske and Randy Klarkowski. He grew up helping his father with his construction business and graduated from Winona High School in 1987. He attended the University of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota where he studied business administration before relocating to Boulder, Colorado in 1995. His entrepreneurial spirit kept him active in a number of business endeavors including a gold mining operation, a reclaimed timber business, and a bottled water processing facility, among other pursuits.
Todd will be remembered as a good friend and father with a generous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He had a quick wit and an infectious zest for life; his passion for food, wine and music was an endearing quality that will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He loved nature and found peace in the great outdoors when fly-fishing, hunting, skiing or snowboarding. He was fearless and a fun-loving man who delighted in riding his motorcycle on sunny mountain highways.
Todd is survived by his son, Nikolai; mother, Karen Chriske of San Diego, CA; father and stepmother, Randy and Julie Klarkowski of Pulaski, WI; sister, Laura Nelson and nephew and niece, Jonathan and Ruby of San Diego, CA; Grandmother, Audrey Klarkowski of Green Bay, WI, special friend, Mackensey, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, James and Audrey Chriske; grandfather, Leonard Klarkowski; and aunt, Susan Chriske.
Friends may call from 4:00pm until 7:00pm, Friday, March 8, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI. A celebration of Todd's adventurous life will be held at 6:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Todd's son, Niko Klarkowski.
