Tina M. Gustafson, age 56, of Green Bay, formerly of Pulaski, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, October 21, 2021, surrounded by her beloved family, after a 2 week battle with a brain injury. She was born in Green Bay, WI, May 30, 1965 to the late LaVerne and Arlene (Burmeister) McKeefry.
Tina was a graduate of Pulaski High School, Class of 1983. She met the love of her life, Erik Gustafson, at Sammy's Pizza in 1985. Tina and Erik were married, February 24, 1990. They shared 31 loving years as husband and wife and were blessed with 3 children. Tina operated a daycare out of her home in Howards Grove, WI for over 20 years, nurturing her passion for care giving.
Tina's greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially with her 3 grandchildren: August, Adler and Isla. She always put others ahead of herself and she was always willing to sacrifice herself and her time for someone else. She also enjoyed planting flowers, tending to her gardens, reading, listening to country music and going to concerts. Animals held a special place in her heart. Her kind and compassionate nature will live on through those she leaves behind.
Tina is survived by her husband, Erik; her children: Bret, Marina (Nicholas Albers) and Layne (Emily) Gustafson; special daughter, Monique (Michael) Curry and beloved grandchildren: August, Adler and Isla; 4 siblings: Roy (Linda), Randy (Cathy), Gary (Suzy) and Glen McKeefry. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 siblings, Dennis and Susan McKeefry.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 2 to 4 PM. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Tina's name are appreciated.
Tina's family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses, doctors and staff at St. Vincent Hospital ICU for their care and compassion.
