Tim Schwake

Tim Schwake, age 84, of De Pere, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 15, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born January 15, 1940 in Two Rivers, WI, son of the late Arthur and Ora (Schmidt) Schwake and was a graduate of Mishicot High School.

After graduation, Tim was enlisted with the US Army Reserve, proudly serving his country for 8 years. Through the Reserves, Tim was trained in heavy equipment repair. He continued his work in auto and heavy equipment repair for his entire career. After retirement, he stayed busy well into his 80's with a full time/part time job doing mechanical inspections for warranty companies.

Tim loved tinkering in his garage in his free time. He enjoyed classic cars, most recently restoring his own classic car collection. He was also involved in TPA work. 

Tim is survived by his children: Brian (Lora L.) Schwake, Beth (Wayne) Mott and Randy (Kim) Schwake; 8 grandchildren: Ashtyn (Matt) Herman, Brent Schwake, Caitlyn Schwake, Jamie (Amanda) Mott, Craig Mott, Jed Schwake, Hannah (Cody) Hein and Ruth Joy (Mackenzy) Rehn; 3 great-grandchildren: Kaiden and Alexa Mott and Hazel Joy Herman; his sister, Jane (David) Messman and half siblings: John (Denise) Hendericks, Liz (Wally) Eichman, Ronald (Nancy) Erdman, Christine Bowen, Patricia (Fred) Zielinski, Loretta Luedke, Joan (Keith) Frederick and Sally (Scott Nitschke) Kroll. He is further survived by his feline companion, Gracie, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tom (Helen) Schwake.

Visitation will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church (2911 Libal St., Green Bay, WI), Friday, December 20, 2024 from 9 to 11AM. A memorial service will follow at 11AM.
