Thomas “Tom” Lloyd Schleis, age 78, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 24, 2025. He was born March 1, 1946 in Green Bay, son of the late Victor J. and Lolitta (Vandertie) Schleis and was a graduate of St. Philip’s School and Premontre High School, class of 1964.
Tom met the love of his life Carol Svejda while working at Frank and Pat’s Pizza. They married on August 10, 1968 at St. Mary of the Angels, Green Bay, WI. They shared fifty-six loving years of marriage and were blessed with three sons.
After graduation, Tom enlisted in the Army Reserve. He opened the Hydrant Lounge and later founded Hydrant Pizza in the basement of the Hydrant Lounge. He later opened Hydrant Games as well.
Tom loved to tell a story, give advice, and meet up with friends and family for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a drink. He enjoyed watching sports, baking matungky, and other Christmas goodies.
Tom and Carol loved to travel, spend time up north, and enjoyed many memorable vacations together and with their family throughout the years. After retirement, they spent many happy years as snowbirds in Florida and Arizona.
Tom is survived by his wife Carol; his sons Todd, Kevin, and Sam (Meredith Thompson); and siblings Bob, Don, Vic, Judy (Bill Streckenbach), and Bill. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father Victor and Mother Lolitta, sister-in-law Sandi (Van Nelson) Schleis, brother and sister-in-law John Svejda and Margaret (Naughton) Svejda, and nephew Chris Svejda.
