Thomas G. Lagers, 76, of Green Bay, departed this life on Sunday, February 19, 2017 unexpectedly.
Tom was born on February 20, 1940, in Green Bay, WI, son of the late Joseph and Ruth Lagers. He was a graduate of Green Bay West High School. He retired as a dispatcher with Bay City Cab, and earlier in his career he was a cab driver. In his spare time he loved to watch old westerns and also Star Trek. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family, and will be remembered as an amazing father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
His memory will live on with his children: James Lagers, Grant (Linda) Lagers, Michael Lagers, Mark Lagers, Phyllis (Lonnie) Eagle, and Rhonda (Jason) Dopkins. He also leaves his brother, John Lagers, along with 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Tom leaves behind his long time companion, Barbara Lagers. Tom is preceded in death by his daughter in law, Melody Lagers and a great grandson Timmy Thompson Jr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22nd from 4 - 7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A Memorial Service will follow at 7 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Cox of the Central Church officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
