Thomas G. La Luzerne, 76, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 11, 2021. He was born on July 13, 1944, to the late Gordon and Mildred (Gilson) La Luzerne.
Tom was a part of the first graduating class of Southern Door. After graduation, Tom proudly served in the US Marine Corp.
On June 15, 1973, Tom married the love of his life, Elaine. There wasn't a day that went by that Tom didn't express his love for her. They went on to raise four beautiful daughters together: Lori, Shelly, Jodi and Vicki.
After 42 years of working at Northern Engraving, Tom retired and he and Elaine enjoyed spending winters in Florida together. Of course, their daughters followed them each year for a visit.
Every morning Tom spent time at the YMCA doing water aerobics. He also enjoyed his endless walks around the neighborhood where he greeted everyone with a wave and his infectious smile.
Tom had many hobbies which included wood-carving in Florida and always had a helping hand to assist his son-in-laws (his boys) with their home projects.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Elaine La Luzerne; four daughters: Lori (Paul) Nelson; Shelly (Jeff) Whiting, Jodi (Wayne) Blom and Vicki (Russ) Roberts; grandchildren: Cory, Curtis (Winnie), Emily (Andrew), Adam (Holly), Derek (Jill), Kagen, Chance, Breanna (Tyler), Jason (Aspen), Bryce (Kersten), Evan and Alex; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers: Darrell (Elaine) La Luzerne and Gary (Susan) La Luzerne; his sister Elaine (Larry) Dekeyser; Elaine's family: Arnie (Lynn) Freeman, Delores (Roger) Meulemans, Arlin (Carol) Freeman, Mary (Jim) Tenor, Dan Freeman and Carol (Scott) Zettlemoyer. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Along with his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his infant brother Myron La Luzerne; his niece Debbie Wilmet and his sister-in-law Donna Freeman.
Visitation for Tom will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at St. Matthew Catholic Parish (130 St. Matthews Street, Green Bay, WI 54301) from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Green Bay.
