Thomas L. "Mac" McIntyre, 73, Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014.
He was born on April 20, 1940, the late Manuel & Elsie (Priewe) McIntyre.
Tom married Carol "Cookie" Mihm on May 8, 1965, in Green Bay.
He retired after 26 years from the Green Bay Fire Department as a captain in 1996.
Tom was an active member of fire department local union #141 and also served on the executive board of the RPFFW.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan & Wendy (Bill); granddaughters, Krystle (Rick) and Colleen; three great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Dolores) McIntyre and Joe (Pam) Bins; sisters, Alice (Joe) Lambert and Carol (Russ) Grassl; and many nieces and nephews; further survived by friend, Shirley DuFour and her family, Mike & Ann Kussow, Kipp & Tina Horsens, and Danielle DuFour and their families.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cookie; step-father, George W. Bins; and three grandsons.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave. The Green Bay Fire Department Honor Guard will conduct the bell ceremony followed by a funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00pm.
The family would like to thank the staff of Green Bay Oncology especially Dr. Jaslowski and Marcie. Also, the staff of Unity Hospice and St. Mary's Hospital 3rd floor.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
