Tom "Fitz" Fitzgerald, 76, passed away in his home on December 2, 2020. He was born in Green Bay, WI on July 12, 1944, the son of Ole Thomas Fitzgerald and Gladys (Hogan) Fitzgerald.

Tom graduated from Green Bay West High School, class of 1962. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a 1st Air Commander Wing Staff Sergeant. He was in Vietnam from 1968-1969. He retired from Fort Howard Paper Company after 37 years.

Tom loved spending his time on the golf course and playing cards. He loved watching all sports and possibly making a bet or two or three, etc. Everyone would agree, if Fitz was present you were having the time of your life. Tom's motto in life was "Forget yesterday, don't plan on tomorrow and have fun today!" Mr. Perfect, as he called himself, is now blessing the angels with his presence and how lucky they are! Tom was always proud to discuss his Irish heritage. "Mm"

He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Stank) Fitzgerald, Depere. He is also survived by his sister, Judith Ann Weisser, Knoxville, TN; daughter, Lisa (Fitzgerald Condon and husband John; grandson Barrett Fitzgerald Condon and granddaughter, Braelyn Mary Condon, Golden, CO; son, Todd Fitzgerald and grandson Cole MacKenzie Fitzgerald, De Pere, WI; step daughter Tracy Stank and her partner, Johnny B. Webb and step grandsons Devon Stank and Jovan Webb, De Pere. WI; brother in law Dick Summers and wife, Kim; sisters in law: Nancy Summers and her partner Jim Pappe, Jan Van Den Heuvel, Karen Jansen and husband Wayne; special brother in law, Gary Janssen and great friend Rodney Huth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother in law, Roy W. Weisser, Knoxville, TN and sister in law, Mary Janssen, De Pere.

The family has chosen to postpone services until a later date due to the pandemic.
