In her own words Teri expressed: In my life I am most proud of my children, they have been unwilling partners in having to be part of their Mother's disease. They are CNA's, responsible and empathetic people and I love them more than they could ever know.

She is, also survived by her dad, Art (Sheboygan), her three sisters, Laurie Herbert (Sheboygan), Jane (Jon) Dyer (Florida) and Jill Gadetke (Sheboygan). Teresa is preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Rose, her mother, Elizabeth Stein and her in-laws, Robert Sr. and Gloria Matheny.
Teresa was a stay-at-home mom for a number of years. It allowed her to be a Girl Scout leader, Catechist, and to have all her children memorize their library card numbers. As a family, Teresa enjoyed camping, vacations, and musical/theater performances from her children.
