Theodore F. Witheril passed away June 26, 2016 at the age of 79. He was born December 4, 1936 in Racine, WI.
Teddy lived a very varied and colorful life. He loved to share the stories of his Coroner days in Racine, his time with young Republicans, the movie theaters he owned and his news reporter days. Most recently Teddy was the registrar at Swanstone Gardens where he lived with his two roommates of over forty years, David Calhoon and Barbara Sherfinski. Teddy loved to play cribbage, scrabble, cards, feed the birds and over-feed the cats.
His last weeks found him surrounded by his Grandson, Jason; Grandma Jean; sons, Tyler and Todd and numerous friends who stopped by to see him and kept him busy on the phone.
Visitation will be held at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay), Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 4 PM to 6:45 PM. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions will be used for a memory garden in Teddy's honor at Swanstone Gardens.
We would like to thank the staff of Aurora Hospital, Bellin Hospital and especially his friends at the Curative Workshop and Santa Maria Nursing Home where he resided for a short time. Teddy was grateful for all of your loving care during his short battle with cancer.
