Suzanne Sylvia Schreiber, age 78, of Oconto Falls, passed away peacefully, Thursday, October 24, 2024, with her daughters at her side. She was born in Oconto Falls, October 5, 1946, daughter of the late Albert and Elsie (Kohls) Winkler and was a graduate of Gillett High School, Class of 1962.
She continued her education at UW-Stevens Point, earning her Bachelor's Degree. Suzanne was a Registered Nurse and worked at various Green Bay area nursing homes. Her father always asked her how she would find a job that allowed her to continue to be a "Night Owl." Her career as an RN accommodated her schedule as a Night Owl!
Suzanne was a talented gardener and loved bird watching. She loved going on trips to Door County and she enjoyed many trips there with her friends to play cards and take in the scenery. An avid Green Bay Packer fan, she never missed a game and she always cheered loudly. BINGO and Jackpot at the nursing home "for money" were her favorite events at the nursing home.
Suzanne is survived by her daughters, Ann (Steve Faber) Schreiber and Laura (Don) Adams; 3 grandsons: Matthew (Hannah), Joseph and Benjamin Adams and 2 siblings, Phyllis (Jim) Colvin and Albert (JoAnn) Winkler Jr. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rev. Dr. Wilbert (Judy) Winkler, and a sister, Mae (William) Bope.
A celebration of Suzanne's life will be held at a later date.
Suzanne's family would like to extend their gratitude to Unity Hospice and the staff and residents at Meadowbrook for their care, friendship and compassion.
