Steven D. Westenberger, age 71, a lifelong resident of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Monday, October 2, 2023, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Green Bay, December 22, 1951, son of the late Leo and Elsie (Hoffman) Westenberger.
Steven attended Green Bay East High School and left during his senior year to enlist in the US Army. He proudly served his country until his honorable discharge. He married Judith Siebert, August 17, 1990. Steve and Judy lovingly blended their families and shared 33 years of marriage.
Steve was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to read and play with his beloved canine companion, Jack. Watching Westerns and game shows was one of his favorite past times.
Steven is survived by his wife, Judy; his children: Michael (Kathie) Westenberger, Stephanie (Quinn) Coutley, Matthew (Jessica) Westenberger, Adam Siebert and Beth (Josh) Wynos; grandchildren: Grace and Eric Westenberger, Colin and Caden Coutley, Tanner Siebert, Austin, Tyler and Kyle Wynos; and 4 siblings: Eileen (John) Ireland, Rosemarie (Warren) Rusch, Ellen (Tom) Thompson and David Westenberger; Mike (Carol) Sentowski, Jim (Karen) Sentowski and Anne (Mitch Thuecks). He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings: Shirley (Orville) Boehm, Bob (Rose) Westenberger, Ray Westenberger, Jim (Betty) Westenberger, Tom Westenberger and Dennis Westenberger; Ted and Alice Sentowski and Buck Sentowski.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 3 to 5 PM. A funeral service will follow at 5 PM. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
Steve's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff in the ER and the ICU at Bellin Hospital for their care and compassion.
