Steven was born March 21, 1967 in West Allis, WI and died peacefully at home on January 22, 2015 at the age of 47. In March of 1969, he and his sister Leah moved to Green Bay with their parents, George W. and Frances K Raasch. Steve attended Hillcrest Middle School and Pulaski High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Steve worked for the Brown County Plan Commission, CRP Associates, Raasch Associates, and Home Depot working in the IT Departments. He was an accomplished builder of model boats and residential home models, including the "Big One" in Door County.
Steve is survived by his parents, George and Frances Raasch of Green Bay; sister, Leah Graf of Wausau; nephew, Jake Graf of Wausau and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He enjoyed turkey hunting, motorcycling, kayaking, fishing at Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee, camping on Isle Royale in Lake Superior, Rock Island in Door County and travels to Greece, Italy, and Alaska.
Private services have been held in Green Bay at Newcomer Funeral Home. Steve will be interred in the Merrill Memorial Cemetery in Merrill, WI, tentatively on March 21, 2015, his birthday.
A memorial fund will be established for a local Green Bay charitable organization.
