Steve Binish, age 52, of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly at his home, Monday, November 25, 2024. He was born September 28, 1972 to Judith (Bader) Binish and adopted by David H. Binish.
Steve attended Green Bay Preble High School. He was a skilled mason and worked for Miron and later owned and operated his own business, Binish Masonry. Steve and Tina McCarrol were together for 10 years before she passed away from cancer.
Steve was a huge Wisconsin sports fanatic, especially the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He collected memorabilia from his favorite sports teams. His favorite place to hang out was Robyn's Nest, where he loved to try his hand at shake of the day. Steve was the talented fix it man that everyone came to for help with their projects. Steve loved classic car shows. His pride and joy was his 1971 Buick Riviera that he was working to restore.
Steve is survived by a son, Brendan Thyrion; his mother and father, Judith and David Binish; 2 brothers, Mike (Lisa) Counard and Rob (Julie) Counard; his maternal grandmother, Emily Bader; aunts, Joan (Pete) Leus and Laurie (Dave) Kyk and girlfriend, Lisa Kelly. He is further survived by Brendan's mom and lifelong friend, Dawn Thyrion-McFarlane, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and his feline companion, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by Tina and maternal grandfather, Earl Bader.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 4 to 6 PM.
