Stanley Kaczmarek, "Stan the Man," peacefully passed away at his son's and daughter-in law's home (Brian and Lucy Kaczmarek) on December 4, 2015 at the age of 88. Stanley was the son of the late Michael and Catherine Kaczmarek, born in Askeaton, WI on December 17, 1926. Stanley married the love of his life, June (Bricco) Kaczmarek on August 16, 1950. They had six children: Bruce, Jeffrey, Janis, Brian, Brent, and Jack. They lived in Green Bay, WI all of their life with many loving family/friends.
Stanley was employed, as well as retired from Green Bay Paper Converting. Stanley enjoyed spending family time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Stanley was an avid bowler, member of the Green Bay Bowling Association, in addition to being on many leagues throughout the years with his wife June and on his own. He also enjoyed fishing, playing cards and cheering on the Packers. The grandchildren all have wonderful memories of the weekends that they could join their grandparents and go bowling!!
Stanley served in the U.S. Army receiving the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan) and Asiatic Pacific Service Medal-Victory Medal.
Stanley will lovingly be remembered by his children: Janis (Tony Jefferson) Wilson, Brian (Lucy) Kaczmarek, Brent (Jenny) Kaczmarek and Jack (Janine) Kaczmarek; his grandchildren: Chad (Katie) Wilson, Jenny (Dustin) Kozicki, Jody (Brian) Mayrand, Kristy (Richard) Valdhauser, Nora (Lee) Berken, Graham (Brook) Kaczmarek, Ryan (Whitney) Kaczmarek, Nathan (Amanda) Kaczmarek, Carly (Jason) Kaczmarek and Vanessa (Ross) Kaczmarek; great-grandchildren include: McKayla and Chase Wilson, Michael and Jameson Mayrand, Bella Valdhauser, Finley and Olive Berken and Ryan, Gage, and Choper Kocizki; his sisters: Dorrie, Terry and Jo and special family friend, Everett.
Stanley is predeceased by his beloved wife, June (Bricco) Kaczmarek; his sons, Bruce Kaczmarek and Jeffrey Kaczmarek; siblings: Anna, Stella, Mike, Kate, Andrew, Peter, Francis, Joe, Mary, John, Julie, and Angelina.
Friends and relatives may call at the ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH (5246 St. Patrick Road, Lena, WI) on Saturday, December 12, 2105 from 11 AM to 1 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1PM with Fr. Joel Sember officiating and full military honors to follow. The family requests your presence for a funeral luncheon in Stan's honor, at the church, following the military honors presentation.
A special Thank You goes Julie, Ashley, and CNA from Hospice for taking such great care of our father. The family would also like to recognize Janis, Brian and Lucy for their extraordinary care of Stan and for opening up their home to Stan to spend his final days.
