Sonny Lee Brown, 55, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 with his family at his side. He was born on March 25, 1966 in Sacramento, California.
Sonny was known to be a jack of all trades, master of none. Sonny was a very caring and devoted father, loved one and friend. He would help anyone no matter the circumstance. Sonny was a very athletic person. His favorite sport to play was volleyball, which is a love that he passed down to his children as well. He loved music and loved to dance. Sonny was a movie buff; he especially loved watching old Bruce Lee movies. One of Sonny's greatest passions in life was being a grandfather to his seven grandchildren.
Sonny will be dearly missed by his four children: Sunnie (Nicolas) Matta, Brandon (Lindsay) Brown, Shanice (Jose) Lopez and Dayson Brown; seven grandchildren: Hazel, Ian, Layla, Nina, Stella, Nathan and Pricilla; siblings: Calvin Goodwin, Sonia Chavez, Demond (Robin) Memminger and William Memminger and the mother of his children: Elaine (Vince) Pena. Sonny is further survived by many in laws, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon; his uncle, Big John and Aunt Mary Pedee; his son, Christopher; brother-in-law and good friend, "Joper" Fish and his granddaughter, Evy.
