Socorro Navarro, 65, of Green Bay, departed this life on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Socorro was born on January 1, 1951 in Matamoros, Mexico daughter of the late Francisco and Virginia (Ramirez) Navarro. Socorro was a woman of strong faith always preaching the good word of Jehovah. She was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in East Green Bay. In her spare time Socorro enjoyed thrift shopping, loved a good "deal" and listening to spanish music. She loved to cook and take care of her family. Her greatest legacy is that of an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her smile and laughter will always be remembered by those who loved her.
Her memory will live on in her children: Manuel (Maria Isabel) Herrera of Hidalgo, TX, Francisco (Peggy) Arellano of Green Bay, Priscilla Arellano and her partner Silas W. III of Atlanta, GA, Diana Arellano and her partner Mike S., of Milwaukee, WI, and Michael Arellano of Green Bay. Socorro also leaves her siblings: Rita Galvan, Francisca Ramos, Lupe Cortez, along with Maria, Jaime, Jesus, Ramon, and Mario Navarro. Socorro leaves 19 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Manuel Jr., Daniel, Priscilla, Krista, Nicholas, Haley, Shakeela, Alonzo III, Darrin, Clayton, Clarissa, Cabrenna, Cyle, Cole, Colt, Luke, Romeo, and Micayliana, along with 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Juan and Francisco Navarro.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10th from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private.
