Shirley Mae Champine

October 11, 1941 — August 16, 2024

Shirley Mae Champine, age 82, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 16, 2024, with her husband at her side, after a brief stay at the hospital. She was born October 11, 1941 in Manitowoc, WI, daughter of the late Lester and Nora (Matznick) Miller and she was a graduate of Valders High School, Class of 1959.

Shirley married David "Jim" Champine, November 27, 1965. They shared 58 loving years of marriage and were blessed with 2 children. Shirley was a faithful member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, De Pere.

Shirley and Jim enjoyed snowmobiling and attending the races together for many years. They also had fun gathering with friends and family to play games, cards, dice and socialize. Shirley treasured her family above all else. Time spent with her children and grandchildren was most dear to her.

Shirley is survived by her husband, David "Jim"; her children, Carol Champine (Kusse) and Alan (Teresa) Champine and 2 grandchildren, Zachary (fiancée, Makayla) Champine and Alex Champine.

Visitation will be held at St. Mark Ministries (2066 Lawrence Dr., De Pere), Friday, August 23, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 NOON. A funeral service will follow at 12 NOON.

Shirley's family would like to thank the nursing staffs at St. Vincent Hospital and Green Bay Health Services for their care and compassion.
