Shirley Ann (Vandenack) Goral, age 79, of Hobart, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at her home. She was born July 29, 1936 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Harvey and Vern (Tolodziecki) Vandenack and attended Green Bay West High School.
Shirley married James Goral, August 26, 1961 at St. Agnes Parish in Green Bay and together they shared 54 loving years of marriage and raised 4 children. Before her illness, Shirley was an active member and a Eucharistic minister at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a woman of strong faith and she passed on her love of the Lord to her family. Shirley also enjoyed knitting, especially her famous dish cloths that she loved to share with others. When there was a person in need, Shirley was there to offer a kind gesture. Shirley's family was most dear to her heart and her gentle and loving soul will be missed by all.
Shirley is survived by her husband, James; her 4 children: Michele (Laure) Goral, Pamela (Richard) Ouradnik, Denise (David) O'Donnell and Brent (Camielle) Goral; 9 grandchildren: Brandon, Jordon, Nathan, Amanda, Ryan, Lyon, Stone, Baye and Willow; 3 sisters: Arlene (Fred) Kaminski, Jan (Jerry) Bero and Paula (Robert) Koury; 3 sisters-in-law: Jean Amenson, Jane (David) Pilz and Jeanne (the late Larry, Sr.) Goral and brothers-in-law, Michael (Yvonne) Goral and Robert Walus.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Vandenack and a sister, Carol Walus.
Friends and relatives may call at the ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, (145 St. Joseph Dr., Oneida, WI), Friday, March 18, 2016 from 9 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM with Fr. John Katamba officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum.
