Shirley A. Amenson

Shirley A. Amenson, 95, of Green Bay, passed away on December 28, 2024 at Tender Hearts. She was born on June 25, 1929 to Harold and Pearl (Erickson) Bruce in Green Bay. On November 5, 1949, she married Harold Amenson at Trinity Lutheran Church. Shirley worked in the Credit Office for Pranges (Younkers) and later retired from there. Shirley loved to go golfing, shopping, bowling, playing cards, going to the casino, and her Thursday Coffee Clutch. She loved to sing, she was in the choir at church and would sing for many weddings and funerals. Shirley treasured the time she spent with her family and grandchildren. 

Shirley is survived by her loving children: Craig Amenson, Kay (Gary) Lonzo, Kris Huntington, Kevin (Dawn) Amenson, and Karl (Donna Depner) Amenson; son-in-law, Russell Persson, 15 grandchildren: Kimberly (John) Kcraget, Kristi (Rob) Kloby, Jared (Emily) Amenson, Jason Amenson, Ronald (Patty) Lonzo, Todd (Karla) Lonzo, Tanya Lonzo, Shawna (Grant) Wilson, Eric (Chelsey) LeFevre, Amanda (Ross) Wojta, Jennifer (Jason) Nelsen, Justin (Carmen) Amenson, Corey Vitek, Jeremy (Cassandra) Persson, Jessica (RJ) Persson, Steve Lance and Kassandra DeChamps. 23 great-grandchildren, and further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Amenson, and one daughter, Cathy Persson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, 10:00 am Trinity Lutheran Church, 330 S. Broadway Street, with funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Private Graveside Service will be at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum, Green Bay.
