Sharon Walters, 80, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on November 28, 1940 to Mary Johnson.
She attended Cedar Falls High School in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Sharon worked at St. Vincent Hospital for 22 years until her retirement in 2003.
Sharon married the love of her life Jene Walters on July 17, 1967.
Sharon enjoyed going to the stock car races and going camping. She was also an avid reader, especially her Bible, which she read every night before bed. Sharon was an animal lover and had a special bond with her dog of 16 years, Pepper.
Sharon will be remembered as a loving wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma. She loved spending time with all of her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Jene; their four children: Tammy (Larry) Laundre, Randie (Hope) Back, Angela Bergner, and Jene (DeAnn) Walters; brother-in-law Carl Walters, sister-in-law MaryLou (Ted) Bangert; eleven grandchildren: Ashleigh Laundre, Mick Laundre, Nicole Back, William Parker, Timothy Parker, Trista (Troy) Becks, Dustin (Meaghan) Kuss, Kayla George, Brandon Dugan, Emily Walters, and Matthew Walters; twelve great-grandchildren: Manny Oliveros, Avani Edwards, Tajanae Edwards, Raymond Mier, Cameryn Becks, Cayden Parker, Camron Kuss, Kinley Kuss, Ezekiel Oliver, Daniel Oliver, Jacob Oliver, and Samuel Walters.
She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Johnson, daughter Theresa Mae, grandson Chad McLean, parents-in-law Norman & Philomen Walters, son-in-law Scott Bergner, and sister-in-law Doris Vincent.
Visitation for Sharon will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 4:00PM - 6:30PM at Newcomer- Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI 54301). A Prayer Service will be follow at 6:30PM.
