Sharon M. Buresh

April 17, 1943 — February 12, 2025

Little Suamico

Sharon Marie Buresh, 81, of Little Suamico, WI, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025 after a six year battle with vascular dementia. Despite the challenges of living with dementia, Sharon was able to stay in her home until her final month because of the loving care she received from her partner of forty years, Cindy.

Born April 17, 1943 to Norbert and Myrtle (Boerschinger) Linssen in Green Bay, WI, Sharon attended St. Phillips grade school and was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy.

The original Energizer Bunny, Sharon learned her tireless work ethic on the family farm. As a teenager, Sharon got her first job at Renier’s Market in Preble and later worked the service desk for many years at Fleet Farm East in Green Bay, but she found her true passion in real estate as a broker for over forty years. She began and ended her career with Coldwell Bankers, with Remax and Realty Executives in between. Sharon won numerous sales awards during her career.

Never content to sit still, after a busy day of selling real estate, Sharon would head to Cindy’s business, IronWood Antique Mall and Golf Range, in Abrams, WI where she would wash and pick up golf balls as well as cut the range grass. As her friends liked to say, Sharon was a mover (mower) and a shaker!

When she wasn’t working Sharon enjoyed gardening, golfing, landscaping, boating, fishing and of course, riding the tractor to cut grass. Sharon never turned down the chance to play cards, especially Sheepshead! Her other passions included traveling, listening to live music, cheering on the Green Bay women’s basketball team and Green Bay Packers. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends. Sharon loved to throw a good party, bringing together friends, family, even welcoming complete strangers.

Sharon is survived by her loving partner of 40 years, Cindy A. Sengstock, daughter Carol (Norm) Rybka, son Jerry (Michelle) Buresh, grandchildren: Deanna (Clay) Selsmeyer, Grant Rybka, Travis Rybka and Lucas Buresh. Great grandchildren: Beau and Kai Selsmeyer. Brothers Joe (Donna) Linssen and Randy Linssen, and sister-in-law Sue Linssen. Cindy’s sisters Susan Loch, Mary Ann Schiller, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Dick Buresh, granddaughter Kathryn Buresh, brothers Jerry (Helen) Linssen, Dennis Linssen, infant Norman, sister Jean (Ben) Vanden Bergh. Cindy’s mother Mary Pat Schiller, Chris Loch, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.

A special thank you to Cindy’s family for always making Sharon feel like one of their own. Cindy would also like to thank all of the many family, friends, and neighbors whose support was instrumental in keeping Sharon engaged as well as navigating the many demands of dementia care. Special thanks to Carol and Norm, Sue, Mary Ann, Ann, Trina, Karen, Vicki, Mary Kay, Ruth, Pat, Cathy, Donna, Gail C, and many others. Thanks to Alpha Senior Concepts, Moments Hospice, and Yesteryear Curative Connections. Sharon loved going to Yesteryear and seeing all the great people there.
