Sebastian Rene Pineda, 67, passed away unexpectedly due to illness Friday, July 24, 2020 while in the care of St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay, WI. Sebastian was born December 15, 1952 in Honduras.
When we think of Sebastian, we think of a special husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Sebastian was a free spirit that was full of life, and an honorable man of god. He played many roles during his life, traveling to many places when possible, "si Dios quiere". After high school in Honduras, he left for the U.S., moved to San Diego, Las Vegas, Green Bay, Florida and back to Green Bay, all for work and to best provide for his family. He made so many connections and friendships. He was a gracious man that learned to see the best things in life, but first through god. He began his mornings through prayer and ended his evenings in prayer. We saw Sebastian's passion for sports, playing and coaching soccer; and sometimes rooting for Los Packers. He was full of laughter and always had great moves on the dance floor, dancing to musica Christiano, salsa, meningue to name a few. He loved to stay busy, and often found himself working multiple jobs, while helping others with construction projects on the side. He also found time to help lead a local group that focused on alcoholism and biblical studies. Sebastian will be dearly missed and continue to live en el espirito de Dios where he is safe and no longer suffering.
Sebastian is survived by his wife, Maria Inez; children, Maritza, Lillian, Javier, Cesar, Marisol, Pedro and Ilsa; several grandchildren; sisters, Teresa and Esparanza; his brothers,; and many other loving family and friends. Sebastian was preceded in death by his parents, brothers?, and son Eder.
A sincere thank you to the medical staff at St. Mary's for their loving care and support during the last several weeks when Sebastian became ill. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Newcomer Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
