Sandra Kadlec, of Green Bay, departed this life on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sandy was born on July 6, 1942 in Oconto Falls, daughter of the late Milan Christensen and Marian (Gerndt) Dzurick. She retired as a Corrections Officer with Brown County Sheriff's Department. In her spare time Sandy enjoyed baking, and spending time with grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends, golfing, bowling, and playing cards.
She is survived by her children: Jeff (Brenda) Kadlec and their children: Nicole, Adam, and Andrew, Steve Kadlec, and his children: Matthew and Luke, and Kris (Sam) Reed and their children: Sam, Alli, and Nick in addition to 9 great grandchildren. Sandy also leaves her brother, Randy (Carol) Christensen, and a sister, Sharon Peterson and sister-in-law Louise Christensen. Sandy also leaves her special friend, Keith Koch. Sandy is preceded in death by two grandchildren, a great grandchild, and two brothers, Ronald and David (Patty) Christensen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21st from 2 - 4 PM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry St., Green Bay. A funeral service will follow at 4 PM at the Church. Interment will be private. The Newcomer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
