Sandra J. Mccain

Sandra Jean McCain, 88, of Allouez, passed away on May 22, 2024. She was born on October 30, 1935 to the late Gordon and Estelle (Piette) Bergsbaken in Appleton and was a graduate of Appleton West High School.

While Sandra was in Appleton a couple of her friends set her up on a blind date with Cameron McCain. She then moved to La Crosse after meeting him and the couple later married on Valentine's Day of 1959. Their marriage was blessed with four children.

Sandra enjoyed cooking and baking, spending time with family and friends and her and Cameron were active members of Grace Lutheran Church since 1969. Sandra was the family's biggest supporter and was always there for anyone for special events or occasions.

Sandra is survived by her loving children: Karla McCain, Molly (Bryan Baeten) McCain and Martin McCain; one grand-furbaby, Benny; and sister, Suzanne Arent.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cameron; son, Douglas; and sister, Dena Douglas.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 340 S. Monroe, Green Bay. A visitation will begin one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Private burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heartland Hospice.
