Sandra K. Hassler, age 74, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. Sandy has entered her everlasting garden! She was born in Milwaukee the daughter of the late Donald and Mary (Small) Richmire. Sandy is survived by her two sisters, Donna (Richard) Meyer of White Heath, IL; and Pamela (Bill) Manges of Arnold, MO; nieces and nephews: Tammy (Larry) Morgret, Shari Meyer, Larry Peak; and Foofy, her cat.
Sandy lived life to the fullest. Her easy smile, sense of humor, generosity and love of the wonders of life will be remembered by those who knew her best.
Sandy spent time in Alaska in her early married life which has forever held a special place in her heart before moving to Green Bay. She made Green Bay her home and strived to create a better community for all of us.
Sandy was a founding member of the Green Bay Botanical Garden Fair, and cofounder of the Flower Pot Cafe, a GBBG Board member for many years, and instrumental in making the garden a reality. Her contributions to the GBBG is evident in the garden today.
She was an entrepreneur owner of Bookkeeping Only and Not Just Custard.
Some of her hobbies were taking pictures, making framed leaf artwork, and gardening. She loved cats, dogs, trees, and flowers.
Friends and family may visit at Newcomer Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Ave on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Private family burial will take place at Fowler Cemetery in Fowler, IN. Memorial contributions may be directed to Green Bay Botanical Garden, Green Bay Historical Society, or Wisconsin Humane Society - Green Bay Campus in her honor.
