Sally J. "Tigee" Reed, age 73, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 17, 1943 in Stambaugh, MI, daughter of the late Manch and June (Landstrom) Applin. She was a graduate of Stambaugh High School and continued on to beauty school where she earned her degree.
Sally married Randall Reed, Sr., February 16, 1963 and together they shared 53 loving years of marriage and were blessed with 3 sons. She worked as a stylist, but was first and foremost a loving wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. After retiring as a stylist, she dabbled in many part time careers that she enjoyed very much, including Hardees, Festival Foods, Walmart and Costco. A stranger to her was just a friend she hadn't made and her part time work allowed her to remain a social butterfly with her gift of gab.
Sally will be remembered for her spunk and great sense of humor. Life for her was an adventure! She loved camping and being in the outdoors. She had a most giving heart, thinking of others always before herself. Nothing brought her greater joy than to bring happiness to others. Time spent with her family was most special to her. You could always catch her cheering on her kids and grandkids at sporting events, recitals, school events, graduations or any event where she could support her family.
Sally is survived by her husband, Randall, Sr.; 3 sons: Rob (Vicky) Reed, Tim (Connie) Reed and Randy Reed, Jr.; 7 granddaughters: Heather (Ryan), Amber (Netflix), Autumn (Matt), Shannon (fiance, Mitch), Sarah (boyfriend, Quinton), Kira and Nicole; 2 great-grandchildren, Reed and a peanut to be named at a later date; sister, Fay (the late Norman) Grahn and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Alan "Butch" (Marge) Applin.
Visitation will be held at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2 to 3:45 PM. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM.
