Ruthann Marie Ullman, 71, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, December 5, 2021. She was born on April 11, 1950 to the late Lawrence Walton and Gladys (LeCloux) Walton.
Ruthann met the love of her life, James Ullman, in 1978 and on April 22, 1987 they were married in Las Vegas, Nevada at The Graceland Chapel. They had a one of a kind love envied by all. James called her his "Sunshine" and knows she will always be shining over us. Together, Ruthann and James raised two lovely daughters, Tracy and Michelle. Ruthann retired from Schreiber Foods after 21 years. After her retirement, Ruthann and James enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas and the local casinos where Ruthann would often be pocketing her winnings. The family would often joke about letting her gamble for them so they could win once in a while. Along with trips to Las Vegas, they also loved traveling with their close friends, Steve and Barb Derenne. Ruthann also had a love for Elvis; her and James went to Elvis Week at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee every year and Ruthann was always making friends along the way. Everyone who met her loved her and would tell her family what a special lady she was. She was the shining light at every gathering and always put a smile on everyone's face. When Ruthann and James weren't traveling, Ruthann was happiest when she was spending time with her family. She was known as "Gooma" to her grandkids and would call them, "Gooma's Gumballs." She would always say she knew she was a great grandma, but when she actually became one she was officially given the title of "Great Grandma." Other than spending time with her family, she also enjoyed working on her family tree and spent many hours researching her ancestry. Christmas was Ruthann's favorite time of year and she loved showing off her extensive village collection, which is on display year round at their home for everyone to see.
Ruthann is survived by her loving husband, James; daughters: Tracy (Bruce) Zepnick and Michelle Van Ermen and significant other, Robert Cravillion; grandchildren: Tara (Brandon) Raven, Katlynn (Joe) Kubash, and Brady Boulanger; great grandchildren: Nathan, Sawyer, Amara, Allison, Henry, Dawson, Savanah, Alex, and Joey; siblings: Nancy Voegtline, Michael (Vickie) Walton, David (Janice) Walton, Victoria Walton, and Debra (Phil) Landsdown; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jan Walton, Bob (Linda) Ullman, Carol (Steve Phillips) Larsen, Agnes Mosher, Teresa Coenen and significant other Frank Glisch, and Dorothy (Scott) Allen.
