Ruthann Sandberg

Ruthann Y. Sandberg, 93, of Green Bay and formerly of Gulfport, FL, departed this life on Thursday, July 7, 2016 peacefully in her sleep.

Ruthann was born on March 2, 1923 in Menominee, MI daughter of the late Ernest and Pearl (Shaw) Landry. She attended East Green Bay High School. She married the late George Sandberg and they made their home in Gulfport where she lived for 60 years. Ruthann was an avid Green Bay Packer, and St. Louis Cardinals fan. She was a part of the efforts to collect the money used to purchase the first Packer uniform.

She leaves to survive her many nieces, nephews and brother-in-law Gordon DeWane. Ruthann is preceded in death by a sister, Elaine DeWane, and brothers: Alden (Jeanette), Brad (Bernie), and Leonard (Arleen) Landry and 4 nieces: Yvonne, Nancy, Barb, and Christine.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13th from 5 - 6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home at 6 PM. Interment will be in Allouez Cemetery at a later date. A special thanks for Mitzi and Mary for the love and care given to her over the years.
