Ruth Doris Seiler (Aebi), Age 85, passed away peacefully on August 8th at Woodside Lutheran Communities Villa II in Green Bay. Ruth is survived by her two children and four grandchildren: Sandy, and her husband Mark (Dyckesville) and their two children Allison (Tennessee) and Zachary; and Mark, his wife Lisa, and their children Anika and Cooper (Chapel Hill, NC). She is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews family and friends.
Ruth was born January 23, 1937 at her family farm in Oshkosh WI. She was the daughter of Frieda (Ammon) and Ernest Aebi, both who immigrated to the United States from Switzerland. She was the younger sister to Margy (Sylvester).
Ruth graduated from Neenah High School and then attended the Deaconess College of Nursing in Milwaukee. She earned her RN degree. Her nearly 50 year nursing career started at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls. She worked rest of her career as an emergency room nurse at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in Brookfield.
Ruth married Wayne Seiler on November 18, 1961, in Milwaukee. They bought a home in Brookfield and resided there the next 55 years. They were very active members of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Brookfield. They traveled to many destinations over the years, with their children, and then later as a couple.
Ruth's kindness, caring, and willingness to help others will be missed.
Private services for Ruth will be held by her family at a later date.
