Ruth L. Cali

Ruth L. Cali age 78, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Aurora Baycare Hospital. She was born on March 3, 1943 in Chassell, Mi; the daughter of the late William and Marie Soumis. After graduating high school Ruth attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette. While there, she attended a USO social and she met the love of her life, Angelo Cali. They were married on September 15, 1962 in Chassell, MI. Their marriage was blessed with four children. Ruth loved family life, and cooking! Angelo and Ruth traveled the world together, Europe, Australia, New Zealand. When not traveling, she loved hosting family gathering, she treasured the time they were all together.

Ruth is survived by her beloved husband, Angelo of 59 years, their children: Tom Cali, Maria (Ken) Polly, Bill Cali, and Angela (Russ VanRite) Cali; five grandchildren: Emily and Grace Cali, Erin (Chris) Ball, Ashley (Ross) Holda, Kyle Cali; eleven great-grandchildren: one brother, Russell Soumis, one brother-in-law, Ken (Pat) Cali; she is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends and family may visit on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Newcomer Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Ave., from 2:00 pm until 4:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 pm.
