Russell Lee Thorson

Russell Lee Thorson was born on March 21st, 1965 to Lester and Juretta Thorson in Wausau, Wisconsin. Russ grew up with four brothers, lots of friends, and graduated from Tigerton High School.

Russ went on to have two kids- Jeri, James along with a step son, Jacob who he spent his time raising. Eventually, Russ settled down with his best friend and soul mate- Diana. He loved to work, listen to music, have a drink, and the people around him. He was such a loving man.

Russ retired from American Metal Finishing, inc. when he found out he had cancer. He spent his time with Diana while taking care of the two pups- Razzle and George.
On March 10th, 2023, he lost his battle to cancer around 6 am while in bed. His family was with him during that time.

Russell is preceded in death by his mother Juretta Thorson; brothers David, Scott, and Robert Thorson; and aunts and uncles.

Surviving him is his partner Diana Jordan, his kids Jeri (Michael) Korth, James (Aimee) Thorson, and Jacob (Jenny) Feather; his granddaughter E'Lizabith Korth; along with his brother Michael Thorson, father Lester Thorson, nephews Jacob Thorson, Jordan (Felicia) Thorson, Michael Thorson, Nicolas Thorson, and Gregory Thorson and his niece Jennifer Thorson; along with more family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023 at Morris Town Hall (W15320 Berg Road, Tigerton, WI - 1/2 mile south of HWY 29 on HWY J) from 3 pm - 7 pm with service at 4 pm. Dinner to follow.
