Rudy G. Bakran, 88, Green Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. He was born June 12, 1925, in Wells, Michigan, to the late Andro and Katherine (Grish) Bakran. Rudy proudly served his country in the United States Airforce. He married Madelyn De Cook in 1952; they celebrated 27 years together before she passed in 1979. The couple moved to Green Bay in 1964 where Rudy worked at FMC Corp as chief engineer until his retirement. Rudy enjoyed feeding his squirrels "Sam", roller skating at St. Mary's roller rink, and gardening.
Survivors include his 2 sons, Ron and Mike (special friend, Lisa Goebel); 2 grandchildren, Tricia (Darin) and Andy; 5 great-grandchildren all of Green Bay; and siblings: Tom (Edith), John (Judy), Mary, Ann (Bob) Goodreau, Elizabeth (Gerald) Potvin, and Patricia Servant.
Rudy was preceded in death by his wife, Madelyn; his parents; brothers, Steven, Joseph, and Frank; and sister, Carolyn (William) Ferrari.
Family and friends may call Monday, September 16, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, from 3:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm with Rev. Steve Vanden Boogard O.Praem. officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
