Roxie Virginia Norby, 96, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. She was born June 15, 1917, in Willmar, Minnesota, to the late Engvald and Minnie (Amundson) Qvale. On April 5, 1942 Roxie married the love of her life Quentin Norby in Willmar.
Roxie worked at Leyse Aluminum Company in Kewaunee as a receptionist for over 25 years. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, sewing, knitting, and spending time with her family.
Roxie will be greatly missed by her husband of 72 years, Quentin; daughters, Marsha Norby and Barbara (Joseph) Mianecki; grandsons, Eric and Greg (Amy) Nissen; great-grandchildren, Zane, Tyler, Grace, Riley, and Kendra Nissen; sister, Mayme Lynch; and sisters-in-law, Jane Bosman and Allegra Antozzeski.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marlys Bergman.
Per Roxie's wishes private services were held.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Roxie's caregivers, Teri, Patsy, and Pamela, the second floor nursing staff at Bellin Hospital, and Unity Hospice.
