Rosalie C. Smith, age 103, of Green Bay, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017.
She was born on December 27, 1913 in Green Bay to the late Edward & Frances (Skaleski) Sobieck.
Rosalie was employed by Stanley Home Products as a sales representative and also did alterations for Royal Model Cleaners and for many clients throughout the city.
She married Harold Smith in May of 1933. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1947 due to a construction accident.
Rosalie is a longtime member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral where she often volunteered.
Survivors include her children, Jane Travers, Frances Rickard and special friend Bob MacDonald, Phyllis Smith; grandchildren, Colleen (Mike) Neerdaels, Eileen (Ronald) Jonet, Rosemary Rickard, Mike (Betsy) Rickard, Ann Travers, Kathleen (Chris) DeCarlo, Matt Travers, Christine Travers, Amy Ellis and Bryan (Keisha) Metoyer; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Sobieck; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Sobieck and Irene Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; sons-in-law, Matthew Travers, Stephan Rickard and Leonard Ellis; brothers & sisters-in-law, Edward & Lucille Sobieck and Raymond & Edna Sobieck, Earl & Clare Sobieck and Esther Sobieck.
Visitation will be held from 9:30am until 11:00am on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 139 S. Madison Street, Green Bay. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am at the cathedral with Rev. Joseph Dorner officiating. Burial will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Freedom.
Mother, we will try not to be sad that you are gone, instead we will always be happy and proud that you were with us so very long.
